Cancellation of Council Meetings

Our re-timetabled Parish Council meeting on April 20th, is now cancelled, due to lock-down,

We were scheduled to hold Parish Council and Annual Parish Meetings on May 11th. Whilst this falls just outside the next 3 weeks of confirmed lock-down, there would not be time to post the legally required notice to the website for those meeting to take place. They therefore have to be postponed to a date later in May, if that is possible, or cancelled.  Confirmed regulations for the holding of Annual Parish meetings are still awaited from government. Please keep an eye on our website noticeboard for information about forthcoming meetings

Walton-in-Gordano Parish Council

The Council meets in the Village Hall (Clevedon Road, Walton in Gordano, Clevedon, BS21 7AY), on the 2nd Monday of every month, at 7.30pm except in August (when there is no meeting) and in May (when the Annual Parish Meeting is held on the same evening).

The May meeting of the Council, which is also its AGM, starts at 7pm. The AGM elects the Chair and Vice Chair for the coming year May-May, and also elects Councillors who will represent the Council on other organisations, known as ‘outside bodies’. The Council has no Committees or Working Groups.

The annual Parish Meeting is held at 8pm, on the 2nd Monday of each May, in the Village Hall, immediately following the Parish Council meeting.
